While some of us may be feeling uneasy and inconvenienced by our “new normal”, I think we all know just how fortunate we are to live in a place where sinks with soap and free-flowing clean water can be found in virtually every kitchen and bathroom in America.
As you know, hundreds of millions of people around the world don’t have access to free-flowing water, soap, and other basic necessities. This makes them particularly vulnerable to COVID-19. This is especially true among the people we serve in Yumbe, a rural region in Northern Uganda that’s home to both Ugandan residents and thousands of South Sudanese refugees. Like you, the people of Yumbe desperately want to protect themselves and their families from COVID-19.
Fortunately, thanks to the support of people like you, 4africa has been bringing vital services to the people of Yumbe for years.
This work has never been more critical than it is at this moment!
Right now, our number one priority is protecting the people we serve against the COVID-19 pandemic. So, we’re gearing up for our biggest battle yet. The good news is, God is on our side.

COVID-19 has made its way to Northern Uganda. As I am writing this, there are 18 confirmed cases in Uganda. In many ways, their curve is just starting. Our response cannot wait, but we need your help!
We need to raise $100,000 to equip the people of Yumbe with access to handwashing stations, trained health specialists, preventative educational materials, and radio ads broadcasting important updates and preventative messages.
