about 4africa
We exalt Jesus Christ by restoring and empowering African people to become good stewards of their community and country—imparting biblical principles through sustainable clean water and preventative health initiatives while educating future leaders, all with a heart for service.
our beginning
Initially, The Radler Foundation started as a way to pour back into the local community in Fort Worth, Texas. However, in 2009, God expanded the call to serve the people of East Africa. As a result, Michael Radler, President & CEO of the oil and gas investment firm Tug Hill, began East African Ministries as an affiliate of The Radler Foundation. Through clean water, preventative health, and leadership programs, East African Ministries served and equipped more than 220,000 people in South Sudan and Uganda while demonstrating the love of Jesus.
But God has even bigger plans. After several years of The Radler Foundation and generous partners serving together, we can now join with you and focus our resources on these African communities as a new 501©(3) public charity.
Created through a calling, built on Jesus Christ, and driven by a passion for transformation, the growing 4africa family strives to demonstrate God’s love throughout the vulnerable areas of East Africa. We are ambassadors for change.
our vision
We envision transformed African communities—restored through physical acts of service, redeemed by servant-minded leadership, and reconciled by the love of Jesus Christ.
We work in some of the most challenging regions in Africa, living out the gospel and helping Africans transform their communities from the inside out. Simply put, we are followers of Jesus and agents of change.

frequently asked questions
Our founder's conviction to see Jesus Christ exalted in East Africa led us to serve the region. Due to war, instability, and the breakdown of civil services in South Sudan, we see tremendous opportunity to serve and meet the needs of the displaced people and refugees of South Sudan and northern Uganda, respectively. We aim to build the foundation for sustainable change in East Africa through practical projects and leadership development.
We can build relationships as we serve through our sanitation, health, and leadership programs. Those relationships provide opportunities to share the gospel and love of Christ. In addition, 4africa is uniquely equipped for sustainability with an all-African ministry staff dedicated to long-term discipleship. We hope that through relationships and discipleship, lasting transformation will occur in the hearts of the African people.
Sustainability means that our projects and programs will continue long after we are gone. We achieve this through a community partnership approach focused on building capacity, not dependency.
East African Ministries is now 4africa. We have the same passion and vision with a more focused mission for change. As we move forward as a standalone nonprofit, we will join you in sending more resources directly to our East Africa programs.
4africa lives out 1 Corinthians 10:31: "So whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God." We desire everlasting impact for these communities—transformation beyond our work here. Our WASH and Leadership programs will only succeed if we inspire deep relationships with Christ in those we serve. When we effectively model the heart of serving as seen in scripture (Galatians 5:13, John 12:26, 1 Peter 4:10), we witness heart transformations—villages filled with a renewed sense of hope and a mission to become future leaders.
